About Me (In My Own Words)
My valve story began with a diagnosis of severe aortic stenosis. After living with it for several years, I eventually underwent a valve replacement procedure. Following a few days in the hospital, I was finally able to return home and begin recovery.
Currently, I'm undergoing treatment for atrial fibrillation (Afib) and atrial flutter. My electrophysiologist, Dr. Nisha Tung, is performing an ablation to address my paroxysmal Afib. I'll be turning 86 this September, and I still hike up to 6 miles once a month and walk 3 miles every other day.
