About Me (In My Own Words)
I found out January 2021 it was time to replace my aortic valve. I was scared but my hubby would be by side to help me through the surgery and recovery. Unfortunately before I could have the surgery my hubby passed away unexpectedly. My world was shattered. I knew I had to get the surgery. We postponed it because of my hubby’s passing. I had the surgery on December 1, 2021. My children lost their dad, I didn’t want them to loss their mom too. Dr. Sultan, his team and the nurses at UPMC Shadyside Hospital were amazing. I’m thankful the surgery is over and I’m on the road to recovery!
