About Me (In My Own Words)
I was diagnosed 7 years ago with an ascending aortic aneurysm and last year with severe aortic valve regugitation.(due to bicuspid aortic valve). Was operated on August 15, 2011 at Mount Sinai in NYC by Dr. David Adams who replaced the aortic valve with a bovine pericardial tissue valve and Dr. Paul Stelzer repaired the AAA. Returned to work on a limited schedule 1 week later and back at work full time, 2 weeks after surgery. Dr. Adams and Dr. Stelzer, along with their team at Mount Sinai, were the absolute best.
