About Me (In My Own Words)
Diagnosed with Bicuspid Aortic Valve after a car crash in June 2019. Told from my consultant it was 'severely leaking' and it would be a case of when, not if, I'd need to have open heart surgery to replace with a mechanical valve. Been on 6 monthly checks since and consultant says it's going to be soon. Scared doesn't even begin to describe it.
