About Me (In My Own Words)
Born with aortic stenosis. First surgery at the age of 3 when tissue that was causing the problems was removed. 6 months later aortic valve began leaking. Eventually, as the leak worsened, the LV became enlarged. Surgery was done at the age of 9 to repair the valve. It began leaking once again. The LV size never returned to normal. Now awaiting surgery in a few weeks (age 12) to replace the valve.
