About Me (In My Own Words)
My first TE findings date was October 2015 with a result of moderately thickened aorta valve. My second TE date was in June 2017 with a result of severe aortic stenosis. In one year and eight months was a swift change. My cardiologist sent me to a surgeon, had my surgery on June 15, 2017. A minimally invasive procedure with a tissue aortic valve replacement, utilizing a #23mm Carpentier-Edwards bovine pericardial tissue valve model #2700 TFX. But during the surgery, had some complications. A liver laceration was noted in an attempt to place a chest tube that was subxiphoid, recognized immediately by surgeons and repaired. My blood loss was 550mL. It was painful for a few days and stressful whiteout any loved ones around. I recovered pretty fast by doing two days of physical therapy. A month later, was able to resume to my daily exercise.
