About Me (In My Own Words)
My rheumatic fever when I was a baby which damage my heart valves. I always had them check yearly. After giving birth to my son, I was diagnose with asthma. In June of 2013 I started have asthma issues at least I thought and they went on for at least 2 weeks, the new doctor I was under kept telling me that he thought it was something else other than asthma and sent me to the ER. They did an MRI and found out my valves were leaking, but I didn't have the surgery to little over a year later was scared I was going to miss my daughter graduating from college, so they double my blood pressure medicines, that was one of the most difficult year because my I was having problems breathing, but I made to my surgery date. They repair the aorta, replaced the mitro valve with a mechanical one and removed a blood clot they didn't know was there.
