About Me (In My Own Words)
I had a heart scan for the heck of it in 2015. THE result was an ascending thoracic aneurysm 4.3 in size. My Dr said come back In a year. I am a nurse, I did not think it was wise to wait a year as we had no idea when this thing started growing. I waited 6 mos, it grew to 4.8. I couldn't live with that so I had the surgery. I feel fine although I am always afraid it might come back but the problem I have is ever since my surgery I get ophthalmic migraines. A neurologist at my work says this is common but there are no studies on it. What worries me Is that migraines of any type increase you risk for stroke significantly. Anyone else experience this??
