About Me (In My Own Words)
I have had mitral valve prolapse for many years but in the past 12 months it has gotten much worse - finally my regular cardilogist said that I was still "young enough" to think about a valve repair/replacement. I went to Cedars-Sinai and spoke with Dr. Chickwe and two weeks later I had the surgery. Having no idea what to expect from heart surgery, I went in trusting God and Dr, Chickwe's skill as a surgeon. While there was a lot of pain involved as there is in any medical procedure, I am now 2 weeks post surgery and the pain is all but gone, and my health has been miraculously restored. Wonderful hospital, staff, surgeouns and cardiologists - I could not have a better more successful outcome
