My job requires me to get a physical every year. 4 and a half year ago while undergoing a stress test it was determined that I have a bicuspid aortic valve. The cardiologist assured me I was 4-5 years away from needing surgery. 3 weeks ago I had my annual echo and now surgery is right around the corner.
