About Me (In My Own Words)
I was diagnosed with a Bicuspid Aortic Valve with Stenosis in October 2007. At that time it was thought that Valve Replacement Surgery would be 5-10 years away. At my regular 6 month checup in July 2007 , my echocardiogram showed that thaere had been some worsening in my numbers. My cardiologist here in Cookeville wanted me to return in 3 months this time. During thoise 3 months we moved to our new house in Cookeville and during the move I noticed some symptoms such as shortness of breath, etxreme tiredness and back pain. At my October visit my cardologist said, with these symptoms, the time was now to have this valve replaced and scheduled my appointment with a surgeon.
