About Me (In My Own Words)
I had my first aortic valve replacement in May of 1995. My St Jude’s stainless valve is 27 years old. I have some regurgitation, stenosis in the valve and a fib. I’m having an angiogram on 09/02/2022 with open heart surgery to be scheduled after. I presented to cardiology with swelling, SOB and exhaustion with exercise. I had an echo as well. I have not seen the surgeon yet, probably after the angiogram. Update: I saw the surgeon after the angiogram and since I have been bridged off my warfarin, they want to schedule surgery for Monday which is Labor Day. My first surgery was at Sacred Heart in Eugene and I’m nervous to have this one in Bend.
