About Me (In My Own Words)
I got endocarditis from a dental procedure 30 years ago and then Open Heart Aortic Valve Replacement, Porcine Valve. Then had a second Open Heart Valve Replacement about 16 years ago. Now have Aortic Regurgitation and just got cleared for another case of endocarditis and Open Heart suggested by one Doctor, and TAVR suggested by one Doctor. There is no team, except for those two doctors, and basically the decision is mine. I am 74 years old in pretty good shape and both my porcine valves have been very good
to me! I do not recall my post operative condition to be a problem
for me.
