I was diagnosed with severe aortic stenosis. This was apparently from a lifelong valve deformity. My left ventricle was also enlarged. In addition I had previously been diagnosed with PFO following a TIA many years prior. I had a cadaver aortic root and valve replacement due to the high blood flow velocity my enlarged ventrical was pumping out. I spent 8 days in ICU and another 5 days in recovery. I still have brain fog, balance problems and much worsened vision. I fell and tore my rotator cuff in December and am looking at repair surgery for this in a few months. I spent my 60th birthday in ICU.
