About Me (In My Own Words)
I found out about my bicuspid aortic valve in college and had annual echo's with no change for 10 years. I was told I could wait for 5 years for the next echo. Well, in that 5 years, something changed and my LV has dilated and my EF has decreased so at the age of 35, I have to get my valve replaced- quite shocking news. Oh, and I'm getting married in a month so the surgery will take place shortly after our honeymoon. It's going to be a crazy summer!
