About Me (In My Own Words)
4 years ago I saw my GP about a sore throat. After listening to my heart she asked me if I knew that I had a heart murmur. It was all news to me. Back then I was diagnosed with moderate Aortic Stenosis. My last check up, a couple of weeks ago, showed that the Aortic Stenosis is now severe and I have moderate Mitral Stenosis. I saw my surgeon yesterday and I am to have both valves replaced on 15 November at Mercy Ascot Hospital here in Auckland. It will be so good to be able to walk and not have to stop every 20 metres to catch my breath. Summer is on it's way too!
