About Me (In My Own Words)
Hi Everyone! I'm from Manila, Philippines and on a recent check up, I was diagnosed with Mild Regurgitation for all 4 of my valves. This has gotten me very anxious, but thankfully it also led me here to heartvalvesurgery.com.
What complicates this further is that I believe I have a mild form of Marfan Syndrome (MASS Phenotype) but it hasn't been officially diagnosed. I'm currently working on that -- went to the Opthalmologist to check my eyes, to the Pulmonologist as I have a lung issue that might be Marfan related; I also have sleep apnea. Not sure if they have genetic testing for Marfan Syndrome here in Manila. :(
I am presently asymptomatic with regards to my heart valve condition, but I'm trying to find answers in terms of treatment in the future. I am thankful to have found this community, and just the thought that I am not alone in all this is very comforting.
