About Me (In My Own Words)
Hello. My name is Johny. My mother was rushed to the hospital last week. She is 85 She had labored breathing, and her BP and heart were extremely high. After an echo ultrasound and cardiac catheterization it was determined that she she had severe MV regurgitation due to a flail and significant blockage of two of her arteries. After consulting with her cardiologist and surgeon at William Beaumont it was determined the only way to save her from deteriorating is to repair the Mitral Valve and clean out the blockage. Her surgery is scheduled for next Thursday Decemeber 5th. My mom and the family understand the risk associated with this type of surgery but she has no question that this is her best shot. She is a tough cookie to say the least.
