About Me (In My Own Words)
After experiencing shortness of breath and fatigue I had a heart cath and it was determined I needed a valve replacement, but during surgery it was determined the valve was too damaged and I awoke with a replacement. I was bummed because this meant I would need to be on a blood thinner for the rest of my life, but this is a small price to pay to have the quality of my life improved. I am 3 weeks post-op and will start cardiac rehab in a week. Am excited because I feel that will be the real start to recovery..
