About Me (In My Own Words)
Diagnosed with a heart murmur and dilated ascending aorta in 2011, later clarified as having a congenital bicuspid heart valve.
Monitored every 18 months or so but increased in symptoms during 2020 to 22 identified need for replacement surgery.
I have been “fitted” with a tissue replacement valve via ipen heart surgery.
I am currently (as of April 2022) in week 5 of recovery.
