About Me (In My Own Words)
My wife made me go to the doctor for a physical when I turned 40. I knew I had a problem when Dr. Jackson listened to my heart for nearly a minute. He said I had a mumur and needed to see a cardiologist. After seeing my second cardiologist and 6 months, I was told on October 13, 2011 that I should have surgery soon. My cardiologist, Dr. Abdulla, and my surgeon, Dr. Watts, agree that I have sever aortic valve regurgitation and an enlarged aortic root. Dr. Watts will be installing a mechanical valve and a woven dacron graph to replace a few inches of my aorta. My wife and I discussed it and decided to have the surgery as soon as possible. I have surgery scheduled for November 9, 2011. I have a great support group, strong belief and faith in God. I am ready to go!
