About Me (In My Own Words)
Hi,
I am a 50 year old active women. mother of 3 and work full time. I am a former cancer patient and as a result of receiving radiation to my chest about 25 years ago the latent effects of such have deteriorated my arotic and mitral valves. I knew the valves would one day need attention but in the last 6 months i have experienced very serious breathing issues and heart/chest pain. Suddenly i learned the valves need to be replaced ASAP. For now i have signed off on 2 mechanical valves to replace the damaged valves. I have been trying to find a heart patient that has had 2 valves replaced particularly if you chose mechanical and why. Also I would like to hear from anyone my age that needed both valves replaced but chose tissue over mechanical.Thanks to all.
