About Me (In My Own Words)
Born with a congenital heart defect. Most of my youth followed by the remarkable Cardiology Surgeon Dr. Anthony Dobell. 1968 was the first surgery, Aortic commissurotomy. Subsequently as I grew into my teen years, again a second commissurotomy in 1976. Laslty, at the age of 46, an Aortic Valve Replacement with a St Jude valve as well as an Aortic Branch Reconstruction (Bentall Procedure).
There are no words to adequately describe the care and expertise of Dr. De Varennes. We in Montreal are fortunate to have some of the finest and most advanced cardiac care specialists.
For a patient to address the concerns and complications of such important surgeries, we fear the unknown. Fortunately for us, these surgeons practice with great skill and experience, for them, it’s another day at work.
