About Me (In My Own Words)
I was in for a life saving surgery. My Doctor was Dr. Catarino who is the top aortic surgeon at Cedars. I knew it had to be taken care of and after meeting Dr. Catarino and his assistant Marion who is also a doctor I knew I was in the best hands.
The day of my surgery I was met by Dr. Catarino prior to post operation. His manor was so reassuring that I knew everything was going to be okay. I know I had a surgery that lasted over six hours but I knew in my heart that I had the best surgeon ever taking care of me. He is absolutely the best surgeon anyone could possibly have for the type of surgery that I needed to go through.
I was walking without help the very next day and the healing process was quite amazing as each day I felt better than the day before.
The third day I was in the hospital he came to my room and spent at least 15 minutes with me letting me know that everything went very well. His bedside manner and sincere demeanor made me start crying knowing he really cared and wasn’t just doing his job.
Dr. Catarino is the best doctor/surgeon anyone could possibly have on your team. As a matter of fact his team of doctors was very knowledgeable and helpful during my entire stay in the hospital after my surgery.
I actually went home before a week after my surgery and a month later I’m walking six miles a day!!
If you ever need anything to do with surgery on your heart and especially your aorta this Doctor is by far the very best of the best. Thank you God for everything and especially Dr. Catarino 🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️💪🏼
