About Me (In My Own Words)
I had mantle radiation for Hodgkins disease in 1978 at age 18. I had angioplasty with stents 3 times for blocked coronary areteries between 2001 and 2005. My annual echocardiograms in recent years have shown marked calcification and deterioration of the arotic and mitral valves. Aortic stenosis is now (Jan 2013) classified as "severe" with a significant increase from the previous year. Time to start shopping for a surgeon.
