About Me (In My Own Words)
I am 62 years old and was diagnosed with mitral valve regurgitation in Nov. 2011 and in AFib. In Dec. 2011 I had a cardioversion to return sinus rhythm. In Jan. 2012 I had a cardio cath and TEE tests done. I was told I needed a mitral valve repair. One week after the tests I found that I was in AFib again and probably should have the surgery asap. The search for a surgeon and different techniques is difficult and confusing.
