About Me (In My Own Words)
I have been experiencing severe fatigue for about 2 years. After having a stent placed in my LAD in 2010, my cardiologist has done yearly Echo's done. About 4 years ago, she told my I had developed mild aortic stenosis. In the course of a year, it became severe. I had also started having chest pain and was referred for surgery. I was scared and anxious but was reassured of the success of aortic valve replacement surgery. The surgery, post-op care and follow-up was superb. I am a month since surgery, but have lost the fatigue. I start Rehab tomorrow and am progressing nicely. Being apain wimp, I am now weaning myself from pain medicine and look forward to getting back into shape. Its been a stressful journey and I'm glad the surgery is behind me, but I am so grateful that I was in competent, professional hands. I am blessed to have a wonderful husband and daughter who have helped me. So, on to rehab and getting my strength back.
