About Me (In My Own Words)
I was just recently diagnosed with tricuspid valve regurgitation it was detected on my second day of life so it is congenital. Although the report I found it in did not say how bad it is I am still trying to get an accurate diagnosis. As to what type of congenital heart valve disease it is. Meaning is it Ebstein Anomaly that’s my best guess from all my research. I have been experiencing symptoms ever since I can remember since elementary school. I’m only 20 years old and I read some thing on the hospital website that said the younger you are that you’re diagnosed with Ebstein anomaly the worse it is. I want to go get a second opinion at Mayo clinic as they are the best in dealing with patients with suspected Ebstein Anomaly. Ebstein anomaly is we are two of the leaflets of The tricuspid valve are turned down word and The valve is not in the correct place in the heart making the right ventricle smaller and causes part of the atrium to become part of the right ventricle.
