Good Morning all?
I was apart of this amazing group 7 years ago and I can't seem to get back into my acct so here we go for round 2!
Seven years ago I had a mitral valve replacement with a bovine valve done thoracically. When I had my first echo and follow up with my cardiologist it was brought to my attention that my strut placement was incorrect. The placement has been causing an aortic obstruction and they have been watching it now since January 2015.
It is time now to get it replaced yet again and I am scheduled for May 22, 2023 with a new surgeon who will be doing robotic surgery on me this time. I am left with the decision of getting a mechanical valve or another bovine. I am hoping to connect with this group to help me make my decision and also calm my nerves because we all know how nervous heart sugery can be.
