About Me (In My Own Words)
I was found to have a Bicuspid Aortic Valve (BAV) in July of 2016. I was told that someday I would need a valve replacement. For a number of years the annual echo show no changes.
This last spring there were changes (for the worse) and the annual echo was changed to 6-months.
A on August 10, 2024 had a fainting episode while on a hike in Colorado. This let to a hospital visit and a subsequent echo. The new echo results showed things worsening.
I have an appointment with my cardiologist on Tuesday (8-27). I feel that someday for the valve replacement is now.
