About Me (In My Own Words)
It runs in the family! I had svt and it got bad enough I went to a cardiologist. I waited about a year before my valve was regurgitating enough and they repaired the mitral valve. Everything has been fine for 22 years. I developed Afib and had an ablation. While in there the doctor found my valve was leaking much worse than they saw on a stress test echo recently. My next step is an esophageal echo to see if they will try to use the new clip or if they’ll have replace the valve. Waiting on pins and needles!
