About Me (In My Own Words)
It has been almost four months since my surgery. With the exception of a very bad first night (evidently fought the tube down my throat so much that it took 7 nurses to get me restrained and tour my shoulder up really bad - even broke the bed) the process was really good. I was out of the hospital in 10 days. The first 2 days at home were really hard but my wife and I soon found a rhythm and within 3 days I was off all pain pills with exception of Ibuprofen and acetaminophen. I had to be careful of these because of the Warfarin and my INR number. I run a company and within 4 days of surgery I was using the hone and computer to stay in touch. I was back to full responsibility at work by week 4 from home. Due to Covid that is how we operate anyway. My wife has been incredible and our church family really helped in so many ways. I still have nightmares about the first night stuff and I have not smoked since the day of surgery. I am not happy with the weight gain nor am I happy about the loss of muscle tone. I am having trouble with my wind and breathing. The doctors are looking at Pluralsy (?).
