About Me (In My Own Words)
I discovered I had bicuspide aortic valve when I was 40 years old. I then I started doing yearly controls of the my aortic and valve diameter. In 2021 it was identified that the diameter was big enough (50mm) to be consider risky for my health and my cardiologist suggest me to proceed to a surgery. Fortunatedly, in the ICBA there is was a technique being used to repair the valve and that was I was made. I'm happy to have it done that way as I not need to be treated with any specific medicine/pills/etc. I do more than normal life as I started swimming competitions (which I could not do before my surgery), and I continue doing yearly reviews of my conditions which remains healthy.
