About Me (In My Own Words)
I am 55 year old, healthy and asymptomatic female who experienced some chest discomfort one day that lasted 15-20 minutes and chose to have it looked into. All preliminary tests did not show any issues-normal EKG, Normal heart sounds, etc...I was referred to a cardiologist to have one last look and this is where the journey started. After all the testing was complete, and several months from the original onset, a severe tricuspid regurgitation was diagnosed and surgery was planned! I am beyond grateful to my medical community in the DFW area for not kicking the can down the road and continuing to dig deeper until this was identified. I am one week out from my surgery and looking forward to not feeling so winded and fatigued.
