Looks like you're past the worst part and on your way to feeling a whole lot better. I started feeling "somewhat normal" (though still weak) at about 3 weeks--I even went to a halloween party and had a beer less than 3 weeks out of the hospital! Probably not the smartest move, but I got to show off my still "scary" chest incision for halloween.

Hi Rick,
Our stories sound a lot alike. I am 57 and had very few symptoms until about a month before my surgery. To me the better shape that you are in the faster and easier the recovery. I had been doing lots of walking to get in shape for hunting Dall Sheep. I am 6 weeks post op and am back to walking 7-8 miles per day. I have also gone back to work with some help because of the lifting restriction. It is great to hear such good stories. Wishing you continued good health.
