Wow Nancy. You've been through the wringer, and for a while. A Center of Excellence like Sheila says is the best place to start. They've seen it all because of the sheer numbers of heart surgeries they do. Just call them up and schedule an appointment. And give them your endless list of medications. That right there sounds concerning, what with the potential for interactions and such. A place that makes it their business to figure out heart problems and fix them, and takes pride in their success with hard cases is the kind of place for you to go next. I "fired" my first cardiologist when he wasn't following what my research told me was the smart path. Glad I did too. Hopefully the fix for you is something simple for the right doctor to solve. Go find that doctor at a Center of Excellence like Emilyrae says. That's where the best are. -- DVB
I was going to say the same thing as Emilyrae. Not knowing what other medical conditions you have, 9 months plus is way too long to still be feeling crappy.
I'm just a little younger than you and yesterday was 2 months post op for me and I was back to work at 6 weeks and feeling better than before surgery. Your concerns are very important. I'd seek a second & even a 3rd opinion.
My thoughts and prayers will be with you, Nancy.
Keep us HVJ folks updatedon your progress. We care!
Nancy, you had your heart surgery Dec 10, 2011 and you are still feeling the way you are describing - SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT. If you don't like the answers you are getting from your local doctors, then call a Center of Excellence, like Cleveland Clinic - or that might be others nearer you - in fact CCF has a hospital in FL.
