Joann,
Heidi is correct in explaining the contorted position the OR has your armsduring surgery. I found that going to my chiropractor really helped. He did a gentle massage and then did a gentle adjustment which really helped my upper back and numb arm.

I hope you feel better soon! I am small framed and had a lot of joint and muscle pain after my surgery. It was explained to me that when on the operating table your back and arms are rotated in an unnatural position for a long time. My pain kept me on Tylenol for several months. I finally started getting therapeutic massages weekly and after 4 sessions the pain was gone. Make sure you do some research on therapists it makes a big difference when they are educated with post op issues.

Sorry, Joann, I have got nothing for you regarding your question. I do however want to welcome you to the community. I have found it personally helpful to me. Great people who have been really helpful when I have questions. Good luck.

Hi Joann, That sounds like it might be a little gas bubble running around probably from surgery. Have a good day.
