Sid Nash from Bluefield VA here. I had my bicuspid done at duke Oct 2013. They are such pros there and I can't imagine it being a better experience, outside not having to get this done of course. I had Dr Hughes do mine there.

Hi Jim.. my surgeon more or less made the decision for me when the CAT scan showed my valve to be on the smaller side. Too small to handle having a tissue valve inserted via TAVR every so many years. ( I am 48). He put in a mechanical valve and 3 weeks out so far so good. I don't hear any clicking noise. Good luck.
