That\'s great you are doing so good, sure glad to hear that. The rehab will make you stronger all the time. It is so nice that chapter in your life is history and you are like a new person, now. Are you planning a nice long vacation this summer? You deserve it, I know you have been through a rough ordeal and it\'s time to relax and enjoy life again. I know it hasn\'t been easy, but with God\'s help, your loving family and friends and your strong willpower, you have made it through. Keep up the good work. Jamie Todor Thanks Shirlene....Yes, life is good for me! Praise God for His healing touch. The rehab is making every day better from an energy and strength point of view. I am hoping to take a couple of trips this summer to celebrate being done with all of this for sure!! Will be coming to Ohio at the end of April with Bob and his dad to get the family home ready for an estate sale and home sale. Will probably be there for a week. Then hoping to take our daughter on some kind of fun trip...possibly overseas...haven't decided yet what to do. We promised her a graduation trip 3 years ago!! That is absolutely fantastic news!!! You are so blessed and strong. With God, family and friends you\'ve completed 1 chapter and started a new, healthier, and heart-filled (sorry, I couldn\'t resist) chapter in your life. I\'m proud of you...and of all of your family and friends.
In other news, no I didn\'t know Ellen Carpenter lives in Texas. Actually, I haven\'t heard from her since graduation. Is she on facebook? I\'d love to catch up with her. That is one thing I\'ve really liked about fb, catching up with friends and classmates.

Jamie Todor I am indeed blessed....and getting stronger every week. I am starting a new chapter and it gets better as I do more and more. Rehab has been great for that....pushing the body while being monitored. It really has helped me to feel better and more normal.
I don't think Ellen is on FaceBook. She married Tim Tyler (LeeAnn Wilmot's first husband. They have been married about 10 years...and are raising two small children of her brother's former wife. It is a long story but Tim and Ellen are great parents and I am so proud of them. They live about an hour from me....
I hope to be at our next reunion to collect that hug in person! I was sooo happy to hear about Wes' new job. That is such good news. Have a great day my friend and thank you for always being sooo encouraging. Love and Hugs. Jamie

It is such an amazing journey we have experienced.
My surgeon only sees patients in the office on Wedensdays.......
Every Tuesday night I think that someone will go into his office the next day and hear the news that they need surgery. It makes me stop and remember all we have been through...and how blessed we are to have been able to get this far!

I still am kind of jumpy every time my heart goes flippity flop...I know it is just PVC's but it feels like it did before the fix and it is scary!! I can't wait til the sternum pain and scar burning is gone....I think my chest pulls on things and makes it hurt!! LOL. Yay! Jamie! Great results for a GREAT lady. I considered Dr. Baldwin in Houston for my surgery, but it would have been an issue for insurance. He is a highly regarded surgeon. I am pretty sure that I will do cardiac rehab regardless of what the doctor says, I\'m sure my doctors here would order it for me. I am looking at this surgery as another chance to start a new chapter, get out more and in better shape. Rehab can\'t be bad for you and I feel like it will help \"ease my fear\" of tearing something up, lol.

No regurg. so far is great news....I think it is way too easy to worry about things...every ache or pain made me a little wary!! But now that my Echo is done...my arteries were clear from my angio...I am GOOD to go. Let me know how your Echo goes....It was soooo cool to look on that screen and see the differences even tho I am not a medical person. I could SEE the changes...truly amazing. Keep working hard...you are inspiring.

Amazing update Jamie. I am so happy to hear you continue to do really, really well in your recovery. Cardiac Rehab is really working for you. I am still deciding if I will go to rehab. My cardiologist seems to think it is a waste of time for me, but everyone keeps saying how good it is. I am thinking I will go and see what happens. Worst case I become a cardiac rehab drop out, I doubt I will be the first. Uh oh, will the cardiac rehab police come after me?????

Jamie Todor HI Mitch...the rehab might not be for you..I know you are walking allot and I think out and by yourself. I was a little nervous about trusting the heart...so tho I did walk about every day...someone always walked with me. I guess I just wasn't sure about how the heart would perform. Not quite able to totally get out there and give it 100% without worrying. My cardiologist told me not to do it either but I wanted that extra precaution of knowing all systems were performing well. It is more of building trust that all systems are go. Don't know why I was so scared of trusting it but I was, The first couple of days I had a pacemaker box because there was "nothing" under it. Meaning my heart was not responding properly yet...3 days later all was fine so the pacemaker surgery was cancelled. My fears may stem from all of that scary stuff! For me it gets me disciplined to work on a daily basis, builds confidence in my ability and is uplifting. The staff is great. Yes, I am in there with allot of older fellows but they encourage me too...I don't want to be there when I am the age they are!! It is not for everyone I am sure....and it sounds like you are rocking it. Two miles twice a day...your heart is holding its own!! I also had some lung issues...partial collapse...and breathing seems to be my nemesis! That too is really improving. The lungs are much, much better....shortness of breath night and day better...pulmonologist said it would take 3 months at least to come back. Anyway...that's my story! You are doing great my friend...keep up the good work!

Jamie, I somehow missed your post yesterday, but happy anniversary sweet lady! So happy you are doing so well and enjoying rehab. I know how you feel about \"trusting your heart\". I have been told to \"not overdo\" for so long now, I too will be a little anxious following surgery. I plan to do rehab also. I leave for Cleveland Thursday and will have my surgery on Tuesday the 13th, so please keep me in your prayers.

So glad you are doing so good, just keep doing what you are doing. I went with Ray to rehab and it is real nice to be monitored while you are exercising. The classes are informative, too. It is really hard to eat what you are supposed to eat when you have diabetes and heart trouble, both. Ray says, if it is something good, he isn\'t supposed to have it. That\'\'s wonderful you have lost weight. I sure would like to loose a few pounds, but I don\'t seem to have the will power that I once had.
