Education, Training & Certificates
Dr. Philippe Genereux, interventional cardiologist, graduated from University of Montreal in 2001.
Dr. Genereux is the director of the structural heart program at Morristown Medical Center, where he has served as the primary or co-investigator on more than 20 clinical trials, and has published more than 350 articles in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Genereux is currently the principal investigator of the EARLY TAVR trial and the PROGRESS trial, two major studies in the field of aortic valve disease.
To become an expert in minimally-invasive heart valve therapy, Dr. Genereux completed several residencies and fellowships including:
* Interventional Cardiology Fellowship - Université de Sherbrooke and Sacré-Coeur Hospital, Montreal, Canada 2007- 2008
* Advanced Interventional Cardiology and Structural Heart Fellowship – Columbia University Medical Center and Director of Cardiovascular Research Foundation Angiography Core Lab 2010
Throughout his career, Dr. Genereux has received several awards and accolades including:
* Thomas J. Linnemeier Spirit of Interventional Cardiology Young Investigator Award at the 2012 Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics (TCT) scientific symposium
* Named a Highly Cited Researcher by the Clarivate™ Web of Science™ Group five years in a row
