About Me (In My Own Words)
My husband has suffered from fatigue, got short of breath and little pain on the left side of my chest for years. He never paid attention to his symptoms, always thought it was stress from work, out of shape until he developed a nasty cough every year around the same time. He visited his PCP and pulmonologist lungs were clear but found a heart murmur. He saw the cardiologist and said nothing to worry about heart murmur is okay; two years after same cardiologist sent him to get a cardiac catherization to find if he had any blockage and they found no blockage but a mitral valve that is leaking severely. Cardiologist said he was born with a defected valve and gone worse over the years. He is scheduled for mitral valve repair april 20th. We are very anxious, little scared but confident that God will carry him through.
