Dear,
My husband did Aortic Aneurysm Replacement at 1/21/16, so I know what your feel before sugary. Every thing will be fine. My husband now is living normal life, doing exercise every day.
best wishes!!

Hello Kathy! Welcome to the site! I had my surgery March 5, 2014, I'm now 45 years old, and more active than I was before surgery. I have an On-X valve, and take warfarin every day. Surgery and recovery really wasn't as bad as I imagined it would be. And even if it was awful, you won't remember much of it. I said to someone the other day that I'd rather have another heart surgery than an abscessed tooth! Feel free to read through my journal if you'd like, and please ask any questions you think of.
This site is a great emotional resource, I'm so glad I found it before my surgery, and I think you will be, also!

Meredith Bray I'd be concerned if you weren't scared, nervous, or excited! Looking back, I think the waiting and anticipation of not knowing exactly what to expect was the worst part. Don't get me wrong, it's not easy by any means, but each day of recovery is a little better. It seems surreal now, but there will come a day when you try to remember details and realize everything is a fuzzy blur. Let me know what questions you have!
