"Dr. Unai is a gifted surgeon who specializes in complex cases. He is compassionate and has a reassuring presence. Not only did Dr. Unai repair my tricuspid valve, he also removed a mass from my atrium, which was consistent with a calcified thrombosis.

After medical school, Dr. Unai completed his residencies at Mitsui Memorial Hospital in Tokyo, Japan in 2012.
Dr. Unai is certified by the Japanese Board of Cardiovascular Surgery and the Japanese Board of General Surgery. In 2016, Dr. Unai received the Dr. Charles H. Bryan Annual Clinical Excellence Award at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
