"I was pleased with Doctor Halal! He took a long time to explain the procedure, what my options were (mechanical or tissue) and what to expect with either option. In the long run, I was not a good candidate for the mechanical valve due to a bad bout of colitis and internal bleeding 2 weeks before the heart surgery was originally scheduled to happen. Dr Halal made sure I was fully recovered from this before he rescheduled.

A very long story short, the surgery went very well, the only pain that I ever experienced was from the bone knitting back together (which I expected). The recovery was quick. I returned to work about a month and a half later (to the shock of my co workers).

Dr Halal and his staff were wonderful and extremely helpful! I highly recommend them to anyone who has to have this surgery!"
