What's the difference between the treadmill and walking. I think it is great that you are even on it.
Sometimes mine can't be found with all kinds of stuff on it. That won't happen where you are though. I think you are on that same track I was. I felt a big difference at 3 weeks and back to really, really good by 4 weeks. We spring chickens are pretty dam resilient.
Keep up the good work,
Okay so you are doing great. I had no doubt that you would. I am concerned about Dick. I hope Dick is holding up - I know this has been awfully hard on him. Make sure he gets plenty of rest, eats well and don't have him doing too much. :)
Way to rock the recovery! So glad you are doing so well. I knew you would. Yes, thanks for asking, baby shower was huge success. I'm keeping to my walking schedule of 2 miles daily and doing well. Keep doing what your doing!! Continued good wishes sent your way.
Hi Nancy, That is great news. You have a wonderful time down in Florida. I think you even beat Mitch going into new heights. All he could do was a desk lol. Im here for the long haul as my doctor said not there yet, so who knows. You just enjoy and dont overdo. Talk to ya later.
For the long haul Linda H
So happy to hear you are on your way to Florida. All the rest and relaxation at home is great....but, nothing will help you more than the sunshine and waves. Have a marvelous time and so happy your recovery is moving quickly. Love & enjoy....Jill and Jimmy
Just stopping by to say hi and let you know I'm thinking of you. I wish you continued recovery. Make sure you do rest when needed in between your walking. I'm doing well, walking daily. I did have a couple of days when I was just exhausted and stayed in my pajamas. The cardio said expect that and its your body healing. Illinois is gloomy right now and expecting snow flurries, so it takes more of an effort to get out there but I put on my scarf and just go. I am on my face book more than heart journal now...good sign...I'm recovering and getting back to normal. Take care, keep up the great work and Happy Healing. Life is Good. Janis Kielbasa
You go girl, keep up the great work. I walk every day because, I feel guilty if I don't. I am starting not to mind it as much. When I walk with a friend it goes so much faster. On my treadmill I have only my own company and sometimes I am quite boring.
I didn't know Tiffany's was part of post-op therapy. How great is that! Next time I have a colonoscopy, Mike will have to take me there afterwards instead of Dunkn Donuts.
Keep up your great spirit and recovery. I'm keeping the treadmill in working order for you down here. Cheryl
Hi Nancy (AKA Wonder Woman) - I'm thinking I wasn't walking 30 minutes 11 days post surgery - because Tiffany's wasn't on my itinerary....Apo logies that I neglected to sign my name to the last note -- after all, I know who I am, you might as well know, too! mm
You are Wonder Woman! Don't think I was walking 30 minutes straight 11 days post surgery -- but that was a loonnnnnggggggg time ago. Keeping my fingers crossed you get the OK on FL....it sounds as though you will!
Now wait a minute....are you saying you gained weight during surgery?? That's it...I'm not doing it...last straw! I've tried everything else to get out of it, even breaking my foot. Weight gain without chocolate, ice cream, donuts, etc. is JUST NOT ACCEPTABLE! On the other hand...if I'm gonna gain weight anyway...might as well eat up now!!!
Yes, my dear Nancy.. apparently I will be having surgery while you are soaking up the Florida sunshine. I will leave for Cleveland on March 8th with surgery on March 13th. My testing days are divided by the weekend.
So it is really, really, really getting closer!
Have fun my friend!
Hey, there Nancy-
Glad you are hanging in there. Thinking of you often and wondering how you are. I know my first week home was exhausting with all the calls and visits, so I will give you a few more days before I call.
Glad you are on the road to recovery, my friend.
Hi Nancy,I'm so glad that you are doing good. You sure came out of this pretty fast. Now going to Fl. Wow. Well at least it would be warm there and probably easier to get out to walk. When I hear of good reports from everyone it helps me for what is coming up. You take care.
Until Later Linda H
Ok Nancy, you're just too quiet!!! Has someone taken you, tied you up, locked you in a closet or something??? Or are you just being good and following doctor's orders? Either way, hope you are doing great and taking care of yourself.
