We are giving thanks to our Almighty God, for you and Peggy, and He has brought you both through. So thrilled you are back on the computer, not that Peggy did not do a wonderful job. She's made us all proud, and surely you have too Duane. Saw the new pictures, wonderful to see you both. The incision as you said, looks well. Great pictures. One day at a time now. In our prayers! Love ya, Nedra and Dale too!
Duane- I'm glad you got through it and I hope the rest of your recovery goes well. I'm a fellow valve patient though i haven't had my surgery yet (still have some time) but you are inspirational. I think it will just keep getting better for you now.
Thanks for the update,
Patrick in STL
Hi Duane and Peggy,
So glad to hear that Duane is doing so well. I have been following your journal and it has been an inspiration for me. You have been in my thoughts and prayers this week. May you continue to have God's blessing on your recovery.
Hi Peggy and Duane
Good news to hear Duane is coming along so well. I just finished writing Susan and Richard saying these two guys have been real newsmakers. Thank goodness they are both starting to show some improvement. You must be exhausted too Peggy. Make sure to take some time for yourself and get some much needed rest because once home, you're going to be busy again. Give Duane my best. Really glad things are looking up. Cheryl, Ontario
So thrilled to hear you have a new view to enjoy. We are praying the days will pass quickly for you both, and you will be home soon. Most will say, you get better rest at home than in the hospital. Many prayers are yet going out for you both. Love you, Nedra and Dale too! Oh! also, Lance, Jack, Ty and Tip! Alright, I am animal crazy ;)
Dear Duane and Peggy, Your messages were going in spam. Finally, with Florences help I can read and write. Sunday went really well. Pastor Paul and family, in our opinion, should fit in well. They were easy to entertain for lunch, etc. Now, we do miss you two, but,you guys need time off and strength back. Prayers and love, Palmateers
Duane and Peggy,
We are so glad to hear that you are in a regular room! PTL! Peggy, you have done an amazing job of keeping everyone informed.
Duane trained you well! Love hearing from you and keeping up on how he's doing. We'll keep praying that he keeps improving and will soon be home!
Love you both,
Keith and Bonnie
Rock on Duane!
Peggy, you are amazing. You were both in Hope's prayers last night, it brought a tear as to how sincere she speaks to God, and it is from growing up in your church that has created that relationship. I can't thank you guys enough for all of the faith and encouragement you have given my family, I can only say I love you.
Hi Peggy and Duane! So glad to read about going into a regular room! Peggy, you have done an amazing job keeping up this journal. Duane, we love you and have been praying and thinking about you!! Thank God for miracles!! Looking forward to seeing you guys again! Much love, Nancy Emerton
Nice to hear Duane is in the next phase of recovery. He has been through so much, but it will be worth it all to be blessed with a long and fulfilling life with you and his family and friends Peggy.
I am happy to report good news to Richard.
Duane & Peggy- You gave us a quite a scare with that "stoke thing." Praise God for His faithful touch. He is obviously not through with you yet. We are so thankful to hear the news of your progress and recovery. You are in our prayers daily. Much love, Gary & Kay
Peggy....thanks for such great news to start the day off! I watched the mitral valve procedure the other night and WOW, they DID THAT TO DUANE! Talk about the gifts God gives to surgeons! Simply amazing but then isn't everything that God makes amazing? Hugs and prayers for all of you guys. Cindy
Peggy, you don't know me, but I'm Duane's cousin Gary Hypes (son of Nolan's sister Amanda Hunt) in California. I stay in close touch with Kyrila, and both she and Dale have been keeping me informed. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Such wonderful news!! Is this really surprising for the God that we serve? Jeremiah 29:11 really comes to mind and how true these words ring so true!! Some scary times are now behind you, Duane and Peggy, and I know you are rejoicing. I have talked with Nell Little and she is fully aware of your condition and is continuing her prayer vigil, too. Take care, get strong and listen to your nurses! Such awesome news, now I can go to bed and sleep, knowing YOU are fine too. Let's talk soon, OK? Joy & Scott
Peggy you have done an amazing job keeping us all posted! You are such a strong woman and Duane is so blessed to have you. :0) We're so happy that he's well enough to get back on here. Hope you both get some rest. You are both in our thoughts and prayers.
Becky & Shylo

Hi Peggy! I am so glad that Duane is doing better today! The stroke ordeal scared the wits out of me and I cannot imagine what it must have done to you! Just want you to know that you and Duane are in our thoughts and prayers. Please do not hesitate to call Rob if you need anything at all! We want to help you in any way we can!! God Bless and say hello to Duane for us!
Yep, it's cuzin Dave again. We do, have been, and are praying for you. Sorry about the Kentucky jokes. Be nice to the nurses ... please. Ellen and I know you want out of there, but rest a little too please.
That is great news,(about his walking today),. You guys are constantly on my mind and in my prayers. Your blog is a hyperlink on my desktop pushed often throughout the day. Hang in there Peggy you're doing great.
Each post is progressively better, just as it should be. Hope getting up made him feel better physically and emotionally--you, too, Susan. As a nurse I know how hard it is on the care givers.

Duane & Peggy:
We are so happy that God has stepped-in and done a miracle in your life. You guys are wonderful people that have given your entire lives to ministry and touched so many of us.

Hi Duane and Peggy,
Glad to hear that the Dr. is pleased with Duane's progress. That's very important and a good sign. We think of you both often and will keep praying. Thanks for your faithfulness in keeping us informed.
Our love to you both,
Bonnie and Keith
Keep up the good work Duane. Glad you came through the stroke with no lasting effects. If sometime you just forgot to do something, now you can just say it must be due to the stroke, and you will have to be forgiven (just a joke). I (Bob) had a couple of them too, with similiar symptoms, numbness (right side arm for me), speech which no one could understand, etc. but it only lasted for about an hour. Ended up with a pacemaker and thinner for life. So we are both blessed. Glad you are doing so well now. Love to all. Bob & Joan (the Uphams)
I called Dale at work to read this mornings Journal. We both are just having a sigh....of relief. Certainly a change in scenery will do you both good. All great news. "Look what the Lord has done!" Just awesome! We will be praying for a renewed strength for you both, and yet a complete healing for Duane. Much love, Nedra and Dale too!
Duane, Peggy and Family : Becky and I are praying for you. I was taken back when hearign about the stroke. I am glad you are recovering from it. God has blessed you with healing hands. You will come out of this with no problems.
