Hello Marjorie and David, Don and I have been following your story for weeks and praying often for David and his family. David's parents are dear friends we love. I am so glad you are willing to protect David as he begins to heal, he has many days ahead of him and plenty of time to rejoice with those who want to visit. We are amazed how God has protected his heart and given him the endurance through the years. Gods' blessings on you and your family as you care for David. It is a journey, praise Him for sheltering you under his wings! In Him, Don and Mary Beth Austin
Hopefully one day later will make a difference as far as nausea and pain goes. I have been following so many of our heart valve club members and one thing I've learned so far is that everyone's recovery is different. Thanks for the updates and let David know there are a lot of us thinking of him. He'll be way on the road to recovery when I have my surgery in March.

God direct brought you to this and he will see you through it. Focus on the positive. Being from the great lakes (MI), I try and remember this... We cannot direct the wind but we can adjust the sails.
Here's to smooth sailing and positive iimprovement!

We are so glad that the surgery is now in the past. We can only imagine how stressful the waiting must have been. We're still praying for a full recovery in record time. Be sure to let us know if there is anything we can do for you.
Heard the news of David a few days back from Sarlunds and wanted to let you know that you've all been in our thoughts and prayers. Saw the update after surgery yesterday, and know that David is well on the road to recovery. All of our best to you... it's been far too long.
We are friends from Temple Baptist in Gainesville. I was praying for wisdom, lack of fatigue and alertness for the DR and other staff prior to and during surgery. Now my prayers are for no blood clots, plus renewed strength.
I also prayed for peace and patience for family members during the surgery.
It sounds as though things are going well. We will keep you in our prayers.
I'm so glad it is behind you! Are and Marjorie are in our thoughts and prayers. Keep up the hard work, breathing treatments etc. U know it will be hard at times but I always remember the scripture I can do ALL things through Christ who gives me strength.
Rick & Sue Sarlund are so happy you have so many loving family members and people with prayers that are looking out for you. We think about you and the family and the mountains you are traveling during this journey. Our prayers are for you. We wish we could be there to see you and all the family that we have known for so long. Keep working hard and your rewards will come.
Glad to hear that Dave is doing so well. But I guess he'll have to quit eating beef... wouldn't that be like eating a relative at this point? But have you ever seen a cow's heart? It's huge...and we all know that Dave is a great guy with big heart as well. All the prayers and notes on these pages are a testament to that fact. We'll keep the prayers coming... and tell me Heathcoats...is there anything the Lord can't do?
Hi David and family,
"What a difference a day makes". We are keeping up with the reports and rejoice that things are going well. The Lord is the great physician. May you continue to progress as planned and have a great weekend with the family gathered with you!
JIM and JUDY B

P.S. Write your sorrows in sand and your Blessings in stone.
Glad to hear your doctor was able to make repairs, even if it wasn't what was originally planned. I know from personal experience how comforting it it to have a surgeon you really trust! Wishing you a speedy recovery, and a long-lasting valve job.
Your cousin, Lori
Hi Dave and Marj: It's been a long time, kinda sucks that we have to catch up under these circumstances. Stay strong, difficult recovery. My oldest brother Rick had a mechanical installed several years ago. Heart wise he is doing great! I too have an issue with the mitral...not bad though. Dave you turned me on to my favorite Taco Bell food when you ordered Bean Burritos with green sauce.!!!lol They don't have green sauce any more.:-(!! Don't know why, but that was one of the first things that came to my mind when I heard the news. Thought that might bring a smile or smirk to your face.! Hang in there, I will catch up more later. The girls and I will be praying for you and yours.! Pat and Marian, Chelsea and Veronica Wheeler
Heathcoat Family, So joyful that the first stage of recovery is on its way!
Lord, please watch over David during his recovery. We ask that no blood clots arise or form at any point, that he comes of the ventilator with great ease, and there are NO other minor, nor major complications. Bless him with a speedy recovery and grant the family the much needed rest which they need before he comes home. Please continue to watch over his doctor, nurses and all those involved in his, as well as, the families care and needs. We praise YOUR glorious name upon this day. Thank you, Lord, for all You do, all You are, and all that we know You will continue to do in the future. We adore you. Amen
So happy to hear David's surgery is finished. We will continue with prayers over the next few days that he has no complications. If you need us to pray for anything else specific, let us know. We continue to pray for your family as well.
The Lawson Family
You are with my thoughts and in my prayers.
I am blessed to know you brother and proud to call you my friend. God has you in his watch care.
When its over, you know what I have for you and I cant wait to bring you that atomic double cheese burger with jalapenos from our favorite lunch spot.... Norma's Cafe in Carrolton.
We are praying for you during this time in your life. Your parents are our friends from the past in Grapevine and Colleyville, TX. I know from first-hand, personal experience how important prayer is during this time of surgery and recovery. May God's peace and comfort be with you and all your family and friends.
