Our entire family prayed intensely for David and the family last night. Have been praying all morning starting at 4:45 am and will not stop until we hear the good news.
Love and Blessings,
Shari, Terry, Ethan, and Carmi Lawson
I realize as I write this, David is in surgery (hope it wasn't delayed). Know you will update us as to how well his surgery has been as soon as you can. Seems like there's someone in our "club" who is having their "valve job" every day. God is hearing lots of prayers. My surgery is not till next month and I'm having a 2+ month to wait. God is teaching me patience!

The Lawsons in Cincinnati are keeping you all in our prayers today. Great to see so many "old" friends sending you wishes. I hope you did take time to watch the Jr. Mint episode last night. May the Lord's peace be with all the Heathcoats there today, and with the surgeons and nurses. I pray that they may be the physical representations of the Lord's Healing Hands.
I believe that you are probably being prepped for surgery as i read of your surgery this am. I am sooooo glad that you know and can have assurance that God is in control and He loves you and your family soo very much. It has been a very long time since i have heard news from the Heathcoat's - I am praying for you, Majorie and your beautiful kids and the doctors today. Please feel a great big hug not just from me but from the BIG GUY up above!! He LOVE surrounds you!!! Peggy McGuire -
Lord, We ask for safe travel mercies this morning as our blessed friends and neighbors head to Plano this morning. Wrap your loving and guiding arms around them today. Watch over the doctors, nurses and all those who will be ever caring for the entire family. Allow the doctor time to eat well this morning, to mentally prepare for the surgery, give him/her the steady hand which is needed to perform. We believe that all will go smoothly and David will be on his way to a speedy recovery. We know that through this time, many hearts will be touched and blessed because of You, Lord! Thank you for all that you are and all that you are transforming all of us to be. Lord, you know all that is on the hearts of the Heathcoat family we offer them up to You, knowing you are in control of all things and all circumstance. We love you, Lord, and graciously thank you for this beautiful day which is before us. Amen
Love you all, Camille Smouse
Your mother has been keeping us posted on your "adventure". Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We prayed for you at our mid-week prayer service this evening.
Jay will be keeping track of your progress with great interest since he may well have to have this surgery one day because he also has an aortic valve defect inherited from the Poff side of the family.
Jay also said the Sienfeld Jr. Mint episode is a good choice and "they are very refreshing."

We are truly blessed to know you guys and will be seeing you soon after your surgery. You are such a faithful servant and always there to pray for others in our class. We ask that God protect you and guide the doctors and caregivers assigned to you. We love yall.
Heathcoat Family, Please do let us know if you need anything! we are just around the corner. Uplifted prayers for you earlier and will continue to do so. He is a great and mighty God!!! Love you all very much, Camille Smouse
Lord, Thank you for this glorious day which you have given. Just ask that you wrap Your loving and comforting arms around the family at this time. Give the family peace as they await for the surgery to be finished, the doctors a steady hand and the greatest knowledge within mind, yet we know that you are the "Ultimate Physician" who will allow David a speedy recovery. Surround the family with those who love them and who will meet any tiny or greatly specific needs. Watch over them by day and by night. Amen
Hello, David. Don has missed you at Subway! We are praying for a successful surgery and complete recovery. Your parents are very special friends and we are praying for all your family as well as they wait on God. Keep believing and know God is watching over you so call on his names as you wait for Him. In Him, Don and Mary Beth Austin
Just thinking about you this morning. I think Kent is going to try to stop by sometime after the surgery. I'll have to load up my MP3 player with some old Henley, Outfield and Chicago tunes and listen to them while I'm sending up prayers for you. Great to see so many people concerned and praying for you and the family. Love the pictures.
David and Marjorie,
Just wanted to let you know that you will be in our prayers. God will get you through this. He is in control. I know this wont be easy but you have more strength than you know. Please don't hesitate to call for anything we can do for you. I am home most of the time. I will email you my cell phone number. Hang in there. Love, Lori
This blog is great thing! I know you are nervous, but you have a ton of people talking to the BIG GUY for ya! Jason and I are praying for you and your family everyday. We are praying that everything goes well with the procedure as well as your recovery. We love you very much.
Love Sarah and Jason xoxo
David, This blog is a great idea! We can't take away that anxious feeling,(they have drugs for that)but are praying hard for a successfull surgery and recovery without complications. Also strength and comfort for Marjorie. We love you ALL!
George and I remember you daily in our prayers. George's prayers seem to have a way of being answered...probably because he asks God for simple but important things, like keeping family members save and healthy. So, you have that going for you! We love you very much. I think you know that but it is good to say that out loud and often.
David, we are praying for you and all the family! Perhaps that anxiousness is just the anticipation that soon all this will be behind you and you will feel so much stronger and better. Please let me know what we can do and how specifically we can pray. OSU basketball keeps looking better and we need you back rooting and hollering for our Cowboys!
David, one week before my husband was very anxious and would say to anyone that would listen that he was feeling better and wasn't sure he had to have this done. He even called his cardiologist and said "Doc, I am feeling a lot better, do you really think I need to have this done." The doctor laughed! Sometimes as it actually gets closer - like the day of, you might calm down as it is just going to happen and you know it and then deal with it - it was like that for my husband - I thought he would have to be sedated before and he was OK.
I hope you didn't blame a faulty heart valve when you lost that arm wrestling match. The family pictures are great...good looking family, don't you & Marj age at all? Still look the same from 20 years ago. We'll have to keep the jokes to a minimum during recovery...may hurt to laugh (but still good medicine). Stay strong, you've got many people thinking, praying and supporting you and the family.
I am so happy you included us on your email...had no idea this was happening. We will all be praying for you here in North Carolina...there are a lot of prayer warriors here! :) May God give your surgeon a restful night before your surgery, may He give you peace on your decision, may He give Marjorie strength during your recovery and may your recovery go quickly. I know He will lay his healing hands on you. Looking forward to hearing great reports on your progress! God bless and love to you all! Tom, Sharon, Thomas and Ethan

Hi David and family,
This all sounds very complicated and it will be good to know the details.
We've put you on several prayer lists.
So glad you are having this done now before more problems come up.
Concern and prayers,
JIM and JUDY B
I found this web-site very informative and it's a fantastic idea. You will continue to be in our prayers and we are here to help your family in any way we can! We will be checking in with Megan regularly.
