"My aneurysm required replacement of part of the aorta in addition to the aortic valve. I did a ton of research and knew that I wanted a tissue valve. I wanted to set myself up for a future valve replacement via catheter. Hopefully, I will only need one open heart procedure. Dr. Gersch, my surgeon, supported my wishes. She did an outstanding job. One year later... No blood thinners and no complications."
