"I had minimally invasive surgery in April 2010. Doctor DeRose answered all my questions and his passion for his work come was evident during my consultation. He is a very competent surgeon. Dr. DeRose's manner is calm, soothing and knowledgeable. I knew I was in the best hands for my situation. I now have no murmur and went from 100% regurgitation to none on the post-op echocardiogram. I will be forever grateful to this most wonderful surgeon and his team at Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx."

"He was exceptional from beginning to end. He was very patient and explained the procedure clearly and accurately when I first met him. He was with me every day before and after the surgery and was great with follow up. He was very competent and very nice, a great combination."
